On the occasion of the trip to the two-day Dog Show in Jelenia Góra, we had the opportunity to visit this beautiful, atmospheric city with over 900 years of history.
The Jelenia Góra Valley is one of the most interesting and oldest cultural landscapes in Europe. In picturesque villages scattered among hills and ponds, you will encounter defensive churches, penitential crosses, old Sudeten huts, medieval fortresses and palaces surrounded by romantic parks. Most of the hiking trails lead through the areas of the Karkonosze National Park, the Rudawy Landscape Park and the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park. There is no need to convince anyone who has seen the panorama of the Old Town against the background of the Karkonosze Mountains about the charm of the picturesque location of Jelenia Góra. It is worth mentioning, however, that the city boasts not only beautiful views, but also a long and extremely interesting history.
